Hermosillo, Son - One of the most anticipated rematches in boxing will be officially announced on Monday in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. Zanfer Promotions will stage a press conference to formally announce the rematch between WBA flyweight world champion Hernan "Tyson" Marquez and challenger Luis "Nica" Concepcion of Panama.
The event will be called "Mexico vs Panama, La Revancha" and the event will be staged at the CMU on October 29th in Hermosillo, Mexico. Fox Sports and TV Azteca will televise. Concepcion and his trainer will attend the press conference; they are set to arrive in Mexico on Sunday.
The first bout, which took place in April in Panama, was a "2011 Fight of the Year" candidate. Marquez (31-2-0, 24 KOs) outlasted Concepcion (23-2-0, 18 KOs) in and epic battle which saw both of them hit the canvas. The fight was stopped in the eleventh after a doctor deemed the swelling on Concepcion's face was too severe to allow him to continue.
