Twelve years since the infamous "bite fight," heavyweights Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield appeared live on the Oprah Winfrey show and shook hands as friends. Holyfield told the live audience that he has forgiven Tyson for biting him during their rematch. The fighters spoke about their rivalry that began when both of them were competing to make the 1984 Olympic boxing team.
"The most important thing is to forgive, and I forgave him," Holyfield was quoted as saying by AOL Fan House. "It wasn't really as bad as they made it out to be. Things happen for a reason, but it's how you handle it."
Tyson was happy the two of them were able to resolve any bad blood.
Speaking to Holyfield, Tyson said - "I just want you to know it's been a pleasure passing through life, being acquainted with you."
