Tyson Fury never passes up on the opportunity to take a jab toward fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua, and the case was again the same during the WBC champion’s most recent interview with Max Kellerman on the ESPN show “Max on Boxing.”

“I think Joshua is a useless old dosser,” said Fury. “As soon as he stepped up he got chinned, then he went to America where the real fighters are and got obliterated by a fat kid [Andy Ruiz Jr.] on two weeks' notice.

“So do I think he is a great fighter? Hell no. I think he is a useless bum. Then he fought a boxer [Oleksandr Usyk] half his size and a foot shorter than him and got outboxed.

“If you think going into a boxing fight for the world heavyweight title is not trying to win, yeah I would give him that title.

“For me he is a useless old bum and he won’t get past Oleksandr Usyk in his next fight and his career is over. However I think Usyk is a good boxer, a very talented cruiserweight boxer but I think he is no great shake and is hittable.

“I just think he is small and not fast, he is okay and a decent boxer he looks like Muhammad Ali compared to stiff a**[Joshua] there.”

Fury and Joshua have been linked to a super fight ever since agreeing to a two-fight deal in March 2021.

Fury held his end of the deal when he went on to knock out Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout on October 9 to retain his title.

However, Joshua dropped his WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO crowns to Usyk via unanimous decision just days before on September 25.

A unification matchup continues to escape the pair of fighters.

Fury is now slated to fight WBC mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte on April 23, while Joshua and Usyk are slated for a rematch.

Before Fury and Whyte moved forward with a record-breaking $42 million purse bid, Joshua and Whyte were both offered step aside fees for Fury and Usyk to face each other in a heavyweight championship unification bout, but the deal ultimately fell apart once the desired sums became unfeasible.
