WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is backing Joe Joyce to take down Anthony Joshua - if the former Team GB stablemates collide in the ring.

Fury was in talks to fight Joshua for December. Their discussions fell apart when Joshua decided to go in another direction.

He is now lined up to face WBO, IBF, WBA, IBO champion Anthony Joshua in a full division unification.

Beyond that contest, Fury doubts that a fight with Joshua will come off down the line.

"I don't think it will happen," Fury told IFL TV. "If it was going to happen it would have happened in December when Chisora maned up and stepped up to the plate. I can guarantee you will not see it, one hundred percent not happening, like you didn't see Calzaghe and Froch. But I'm going to take on the man that has beaten him twice so it's irrelevant. I'm going to knock out the guy that beat him twice."

"Me and Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world [is bigger], two undefeated champions not a man who has been beaten in three of his last five fights. He doesn't bring anything to the table. In terms of money, I'll earn double the amount from Usyk than from the other sausage. I'm looking to fight Usyk, Joshua's nemesis, the man who made him cry like a little girl, 'I'm 18 stone'. So, I'm 20 stone."

Joshua is positioned to return to the ring in the month of March.

In the last few weeks, Joyce has expressed his eagerness to get in the ring with Joshua.

Both Fury and Joyce are promoted by Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions.

Fury feels confident that Joyce will power right through Joshua.

“I think so. I think he wipes the floor with Joshua anyway but then again, we’ll never see it," Fury said.
