It was two wins in a week for the Eubank family after Harlem Eubank's second professional outing ended in victory.
Last weekend Chris Eubank Jr blitzed Avni Yildirim inside three rounds in his World Boxing Super Series quarter-final in Germany, and tonight at York Hall was the turn of his cousin.
Trained by Adam Booth, Harlem Eubank certainly has the athletic attributes as well as the confidence, but the rawness was plain to see in this his second fight. And as such criticism has to be limited to a 23-year-old young man who Booth believes will turn into a "good, entertaining fighter if he stays focused".
Eubank faced Michael Green over four rounds as part of Matchroom's NXTGEN series and certainly looked sharp early on moving the jab to the head and body.
As the rounds wore on Eubank would attempt to let fly with big shots from range which rarely landed. Success was gained in the second round from this wild tactic, as a right hand flew through the air on to Green's chin who took it well.
Green was rarely in trouble but threw very little back in the way of quality that could have seen him win the fight. And because of Eubank's movement it was at times like watching a grown man trying to swat a big, athletic fly.
Eubank's hand was raised in victory by referee Jeff Hinds running out a 40-36 winner.
"I love it. I love the spotlight," Eubank said ringside.
"It was a competitive fight.
"There are many things to work on. I have many raw skills that need tweaking."
