It’s the same old refrain of Filipino boxers going to Thailand only to be beaten. The latest victims adding to the seven fighters who lost over the past tend days were flyweight Edmundo Velayo and an unknown bantamweight by the name of Roger Monserto.

Velayo, a fighter of Cebu promoter and boxing manager Sammy Gello-ani lost a seventh round technical decision to undefeated Fahpetchnoi Chitpattana while Monserto siffered a fifth round TKO at the hands of veteran Medgoen Singsurat pr Medgoen 3K Battery who years ago scored a third round KO over Manny Pacquiao to win the WBC flyweight title in September 1999..

Medgoen improved to 43-4 with 30 knockouts while Fahpetchnoi upped his undefeated record to 13-0 wioth 9 knockouts. Velayo dropped to 9-8-2 with 6 KO’s.
