Two more Filipino boxers have been beaten in Bangkok, Thailand with veteran featherweight Jeffrey Onate losing a unanimous decision to Chonlatarn Piriyapino in a battle for the vacant Asian Boxing Council title and Bart Abapo dropping a six round decision to former world champion Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai.

In the fights held at the Royal Square in Bangkok, Piriyapino improved his unbeaten record to 12-0 with 5 knockouts while Onate dropped to 29-21-6 with 16 KO’s.

Former WBA lightweight champion Nanthachai proved far too strong for Abapo, dropping the lanky Filipino twice, once  in the third round and then again in the sixth to win easily.

The 35 year old southpaw Nanthachai lost his WBA  title by a unanimous decision to Vicente Mosquera of Mexico last April 30 in New York’s Madison Square Garden. With his win over Abapo, Nanthachai improved his record to 46-3-1 with 36 knockouts while Abapo dropped to 16-4-2 with 11 KO’s.
