Again, Moloney went back to work and earned his third title shot. In May 2023, he took a majority decision over Vincent Astrolabio and took home the vacant WBO belt. Alas, his reign lasted only about a year. In his second defense, Moloney traveled to Tokyo and was unanimously outpointed by Yoshiki Takei in May 2024. That was immediately followed by a decision defeat to Tenshin Nasukawa in February 2025, also in Tokyo.

This past December, Moloney returned to fighting in Australia and returned to the win column, scoring a fourth-round TKO of the 14-2 Herlan Gomez on the undercard of Jai Opetaia-Huseyin Cinkara. Moloney is currently ranked seventh by the WBC, ninth by the IBF and 10th by the WBO.

Donovan, 12-2 (8 KOs), is a 29-year-old from Ohio who will be fighting outside of the United States for the first time as a pro. His losses came in his second and third fights. Donovan has won 11 straight since (not including one no-contest). Four of his past five bouts have been at or near junior bantamweight. In his most recent outing, up at junior featherweight, Donovan won via third-round TKO against a 38-25-1 opponent.

Saturday, April 25: Jacob Bank vs Paulinus Ndjolonimu (DAZN)

Bank, 18-0 (10 KOs), is coming off what was by far the biggest win of his career: a 12th-round knockout of William Scull in January, doing what Saul “Canelo” Alvarez had frustratingly failed to do in 2025. The victory has Bank ranked highly at super middleweight: third with the WBO, fourth with the WBC and eighth with the IBF. The 25-year-old Bank will once again be headlining in his hometown of Kolding, Denmark.

Ndjolonimu, 20-1 (18 KOs), is a 38-year-old from Namibia. His first fight outside of his home country was also his sole defeat to date: a majority decision loss last July to the 27-0 Simon Zachenhuber. Ndjolonimu returned in November and won via 10th-round TKO over a 9-5-1 foe. He is currently rated seventh by the WBO, right behind Zachenhuber. Will Ndjolonimu have a better outcome in his second outing in hostile territory?

Saturday, April 25: Jarrell Miller vs Lenier Pero (DAZN)

Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller, 27-1-2 (22 KOs), is a heavyweight who so far is one of many “what could have been” stories in boxing. His story is even more aggravating given how many of his wounds were self-inflicted, especially his multiple instances of failed drug tests.

Miller began to gather momentum in 2017 and 2018, when he defeated Gerald Washington (TKO8), Mariusz Wach (TKO9), Johann Duhaupas (UD12), Tomasz Adamek (KO2) and Bogdan Dinu (KO4). Even as Miller continued to add more and more poundage onto his 6ft 4ins frame – topping 300lbs in each of his 2018 bouts – he exhibited fast hands and plenty of comfort in the ring.

His 2019 was looking to be a big year. Miller signed to challenge Anthony Joshua for three heavyweight world titles. And then it all came crashing down. Miller tested positive for multiple banned substances and was pulled from the match. Instead, Andy Ruiz received the payday, scored a stunning upset over Joshua that June and took home the belts. 

This wasn’t Miller’s first time running afoul of drug tests, either. He had also tested positive for a banned substance while competing as a kickboxer in 2014. Nor would it be his last time. He also failed a drug test ahead of a scheduled July 2020 boxing match with Jerry Forrest. To make matters worse, there has also been ongoing promotional strife over the years.

Miller didn’t return to the ring until 2022. He put together three victories, including a TKO of Lucas Browne in 2023, and then took on Daniel Dubois in December of that year. Dubois stopped Miller in the final seconds of the final round, giving “Big Baby” his only pro defeat. That was followed by a draw against Ruiz in August 2024.

Miller didn’t compete at all in 2025. He came back this January, taking a split decision over Kingsley Ibeh on the undercard of Teofimo Lopez Jnr-Shakur Stevenson. Miller’s win over Ibeh is most memorable for his hairpiece coming off mid-fight.

“Big Baby” remains sizable, but he’s no longer young. Miller turns 38 this July. He is ranked ninth by the WBA but has wasted away much of his career and potential. Time is running short for Miller to be known for something other than his failures and frustrations.

Lenier Pero, 13-0 (8 KOs), is a heavyweight who competed in the Olympics. In 2016, he made it to the quarterfinals of the super heavyweight tournament, losing by TKO to eventual bronze medalist Filip Hrgovic.

That was it for Pero’s amateur career, but his pro debut wouldn’t come until 2019. While some Cuban fighters defect – an often dangerous undertaking – Pero sought asylum and was banned by his country from boxing as a result.

Pero ultimately did leave Cuba and resumed in the sport. His first five fights in the paid ranks were in Germany, Argentina and Colombia. He has competed in the United States ever since, almost exclusively in Florida. There was one match in Texas – the only card that Pero shared with his younger brother, Dainier, 13-0 (10 KOs), who made it to the quarterfinals of the Olympics in 2021 before losing to Richard Torrez Jnr.

After fighting just once in 2024, Lenier Pero had two matches in 2025. He outpointed the 9-4 Detrailous Webster in April and former cruiserweight title challenger Jordan Thompson in November. Critics said that Pero didn’t do enough in those performances to make them excited about his future in the weight class.

Pero is 33 and still a prospect. Yes, heavyweights can and do succeed at later ages. And yes, he is rated No. 2 by the WBA. But with the old guard of the division soon to age out and retire, Pero will need to establish himself quickly, both as a true contender and as someone worth watching. This bout with Miller is his prime opportunity.

The co-feature is a lightweight fight between Alan Abel Chaves and Miguel Madueno.

Chaves is 21-0 (18 KOs) and has scored four straight stoppages, including a four-round TKO of the 32-7-1 Freddy Fonseca last July and a 57-second drubbing of the 24-3 Pablo Vicente in October.

Madueno, 31-4 (28 KOs), has dropped three of his past four. He was widely outpointed by the 36-7-2 Steve Claggett in November 2023; took a split decision over the 17-1 Justin Pauldo in February 2024; was nearly shut out by Keyshawn Davis in July 2024; and, in his most recent outing, was stopped in the seventh round by Oscar Duarte in February 2025.
