During a national conference call between the boxing media and Ricardo Mayorga, promoter Don King revealed that Felix "Tito" Trinidad will be flying to Las Vegas to observe the bout between Oscar De La Hoya and WBC 154-pound champion Ricardo Mayorga, scheduled to take place on May 6.

King once again announced that if Ricardo Mayorga wins his bout with De La Hoya, there will be a rematch between Mayorga and Trinidad. The fight would not take place at 160 pounds. According to King, Trinidad would either have to come down to 154 pounds or the two fighters would have to meet at an agreed upon weight.

When asked about the possibility of Mayorga losing the bout, King did not rule out a possible rematch between De La Hoya and Trinidad.
