According to the The Hour of Norwalk, boxing's veteran twins, Travis and Tarvis Simms, were arrested on assault charges after allegedly fighting with each other over the weekend. Norwalk Police Lt. Paul Resnick told the paper that Travis allegedly punched his twin brother Tarvis in the face as the two 38-year-old siblings were arguing at Travis' home on Saturday night.
Once the punch was thrown, all hell broke loose. The officer further told the paper that Travis' 10-year-old daughter was bitten on the arm when she tried to break the fight up as both fighters were fighting on the kitchen floor. A police report said the brawl stopped when Tarvis allegedly went for a knife and then Travis ran to another room and came back with a gun and told his brother to leave.
Travis was arraigned Monday on charges of reckless endangerment, threatening, and third-degree assault. Tarvis was arraigned on charges of risk of injury to a minor, threatening, and third-degree assault.
