A deal has been finalized for a crossroads heavyweight bout between two hitters in the division, Travis Kauffman (31-1, 23 KOs) and Amir Mansour (22-2-1, 16 KOs).

The fight has been set down for February 25th as part of the Deontay Wilder vs. Andrzej Wawrzyk undercard from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.

Another crossroads heavyweight fight is taking place on the undercard, with Dominic Breazeale taking on Artur Szpika in a fight where both boxers are coming back from tough knockout losses.

Mansour has been out of the ring since January, when he was unable to come out for the sixth round with Breazeale at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Mansour was doing very well in the fight, dropping Breazeale in the third and had the edge as the fight played out, but during the fifth he suffered a broken jaw that was too severe to continue.

Prior to the loss to Breazeale, Mansour went to a controversial twelve round split draw with unbeaten heavyweight Gerald Washington.

Kauffman lost a controversial twelve round split decision to Chris Arreola last December in San Antonio, Texas. He had Arreola down in the third. The outcome was changed to a no-decision after Arreola failed a post-fight drug test by coming up positive for marijuana.

Kauffman was able to bounce back in September, when he stopped Josh Gormley in two rounds at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania.
