Trainer Ulli Wegner, 70-years-old, has agreed to a new three year contract with German promotional powerhouse Sauerland Event. The respected coach will be with Sauerland until at least 2015. Wegner's contract used to extend on a year by year basis. He trained an army of past and current world champions.
Wegner's current crop of champions includes Marco Huck, Arthur Abraham, Yoan Pablo Hernandez and Cecilia Braekhus. On February 2nd in Berlin, is blooming protege Eduard Gutknecht will take on former world champion Juergen Brähmer.
