One time world WBO flyweight title challenger Rexon Flores has suffered a first round knockout at the hands of Japan’s Toshiyuki Igarashi at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

The end came at 1:46 of the opening round .

The loss was Flores’ fourth knockout loss in his last five fights and his record has dropped to 20-8-4 with 9 knockouts.

In his last fight Flores lost by an 8th round TKO to Dondon Jimenea and was nowhere near the fighter who lost by a unanimous decision to then WBO flyweight champion Omar Andrez Narvaez on August 5, 2006 in Argentina.

With the win the 26 year old southpaw Igarashi improved to 11-1-1 with 9 knockouts. He was coming off a 6th round TKO of Mexican Abel Ochoa in Mexico on March 6 this year.
