On November 11th and December 9th, Top Rank will have cards from Fresno, California and New York City as part of their new series on ESPN.
Earlier this year the two entities entered into an exclusive deal to televise a series of fights on the network and their vast array of platforms.
When Bob Arum, the chairman of Top Rank, was asked when this series would resume in 2018, he told BoxingScene.com - "February 3rd, which is the Saturday before the Super Bowl. We're not doing any fights in January because that's when the (NFL) playoffs are."
According to Arum ESPN will televise 18 shows with Top Rank in 2018.
"It's going to be one a month during football season and two a month outside of football. That's generally what's going to be done,"explained Arum.
On November 11th from the Save Mart Arena, the ESPN broadcast will feature the battle for the WBO super bantamweight title between defending champion, Jessie Magdaleno, and Cesar Juarez. Also Artur Beterbiev and Enrico Koelling fight for the vacant IBF light heavyweight title and local favorite, Jose Ramirez faces Mike Reed in a battle of unbeaten contenders.
The December 9th card from the Theater at Madison Square Garden is headlined by the match-up between WBO 130-pound titlist, Vasyl Lomachenko and undefeated WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux, who is moving up by two weight divisions to take the fight.
