From what Netboxe.com/BoxingScene.com has learned, the current champion of Quebec, Tony Luis (10-0), will probably face Mexican veteran Aldo Valtierra (25-12-0) at the upcoming card - "Fast & Furious" - to be presented at the Bell Centre on December 3 by the Groupe Yvon Michel.
Valtierra dropeed a KO loss to Henry Lundy in his last fight. Before that, he bowed out to face the current IBF world champion Miguel Vazquez, and before that to Jason Litzau.
The debate between between GYM and InterBox to match Tony Luis and Pier-Olivier Cote (13-0) for the Canadian title would otherwise have been held, but no deal seems to have been concluded for December 3. A face-to-face meeting between the two men could be incurred in 2011.
Please note that Pier-Olivier Côté is currently on the card for the planned Dec. 18 event at the Pepsi Coliseum, an event which is also presented by the Groupe Yvon Michel, in collaboration with Golden Boy Promotions.
