Former champion Tony Bellew (29-2-1, 19 KOs) would love to avenge his 2013 knockout loss at the hands of Adonis Stevenson.

Stevenson (28-1, 23 KOs) defense his WBC light heavyweight title on Saturday night in Montreal, in a rematch with tough Polish contender Andrzej Fonfara.

Bellew was the last mandatory challenger that Stevenson faced. After that fight, Bellew moved up to cruiserweight and his career reached new heights. Bellew has won his last nine fights, captured the WBC cruiserweight title, and in March he moved up to heavyweight to pull off a major upset with an eleven round stoppage of two-division champion David Haye.

Bellew is hanging around the heavyweight division, hoping to get a world title opportunity. But he would gladly move back to cruiserweight for the opportunity to face Stevenson again.

"I wish Stevenson would come to cruiserweight, I would love that fight. Would I go back down to that division for a revenge fight with Stevenson? Without a doubt," Bellew told Sky Sports.

Bellew believes Stevenson's career has gone backwards since they fought, with lackluster competition being the main reason.

"I actually think Adonis Stevenson has gone slightly backwards since I fought him in 2013. Beating Chad Dawson to claim the WBC light-heavyweight belt a few months earlier was an amazing victory, but I'm probably the best name on his record since then," Bellew said.

"Stevenson was on a great roll, beating Dawson, Tavoris Cloud and me, but after that he's faced nobody after nobody. He's still a brilliant fighter, but you're only as good as the opponents you are facing. He's not wanted to take any kind of risk, but he knows he's getting older now so probably wants to cash out. The winner of Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev is the big-money fight.

"I think Stevenson wins by KO against Andrzej Fonfara this Saturday. There are too many miles on the clock for Fonfara and his best opportunity was last time when Stevenson underestimated him."
