Although the location has yet to be determined, heavyweight Samuel Peter told Brila FM Radio that his rematch with James Toney would take place on January 6.

Peter won a disputed split-decision over James Toney on September 2nd in Los Angeles, soon after the WBC ordered an immediate rematch to set a mandatory challenger to WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev.

Since the initial bout was held in Toney's backyard of Los Angeles, Peter would like to stage the bout in his backyard of Nigeria. Peter even suggested staging the bout in London in order to have a neutral venue, but also said that he would fight Toney anywhere.

"I'm ready to fight anybody anywhere. Against Toney, I knew what I was doing, I was beating him to his own game plan. The fight was not a good decision for the US. Since they want Toney in the grave I will put him in the grave", Peter said.

Peter hopes to face Oleg Maskaev immediately after the rematch with Toney.
