Lightweight contender Tommy Coyle (21-3, 10 KOs) has had to withdraw from his next fight on November 21 in Manchester.
The 26-year-old crowd pleaser was due to appear on the undercard (no opponent had been announced) of the Darleys Perez vs. Anthony Crolla rematch after suffering his third professional defeat back at the beginning of August when losing to 2012 Olympic Gold Medallist Luke Campbell in ‘The Battle of Hull’.
Speaking to his followers on Twitter, Coyle said: “Due to an injury suffered whilst sparring I’m left with no choice to pull out of my next fight. I’m gutted. Hope to be back really soon.
“As promised I have already paid for coach transport. Anyone still wanting to support Anthony Crolla the coach is still free and available.
“I really was looking forward to my ring return in Manchester but fighting with an injury is a risk I’m not willing to take. My injury will recover a lot quicker than my heart would if I was to get beat because I wasn’t 100%.”
