Tommy Carus has signed a managerial deal with MGM.
The Liverpool super-lightweight, who has been out of the ring since drawing with Chris Adaway last November, has a record of 7-2-2.
Carus also has a draw on his ledger with now-fellow management stablemate Tom Stalker, the WBO European lightweight champion who also has a deal with the Puerto Banus-based outfit.
He will return to the ring after an 11-month absence on October 7, when he features as part of MGM Liverpool’s inaugural show at Greenbank Sports Academy.
And ‘Chaos’, 24, is delighted to have been given the chance to shine after signing with the Matthew Macklin-fronted organisation.
“I am buzzing to be part of a great team in MGM,” he said, “and [I] cannot wait to get going again.”
Sam Kynoch, the managing director at MGM, has also had his say on the team’s latest signing, outlining that Carus “is an excellent addition to our stable of boxers in Liverpool” and that “[MGM] will be looking to keep [him] busy.”
Carus’ comeback fight will feature as part of a card headed by undefeated super-welterweight rising star James Metcalf (13-0, 6 KOs), while there will be action for Ryan Moorhead (7-1, 1 KO) and John Quigley (13-0, 2 KOs) –– both of whom have recently agreed deals with MGM –– alongside promising prospect Ged Carroll (2-0).
Details regarding further additions to the bill will be revealed in due course.
