Former light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek (48-2, 29 KOs) has parted ways with longtime promoter Main Events. The information was confirmed to ringpolska.pl by Main Events CEO Kathy Duva. Adamek had been with Main Events since 2008. He last fought for the company in December, winning a close and controversial split decision in a rematch with Steve Cunningham. He was ordered to face Kubrat Pulev in a final IBF heavyweight eliminator, but took a pass on the opportunity.

"We respect the choices of Tomasz. We wish him all the best. Our doors are always open for him if he decides to come back someday," said Duva.
