Featherweight prospect Manuel "Tino" Avila (21-0) looks to make a statement when he faces Jose Ramirez (28-6) on November 4th at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. Fight will be broadcast live on Estrella TV.

Ramirez has faced many of the top featherweights in the sport but Avila doesn't feel that will have much bearing on the outcome of the fight.

"Pretty much I don't really get caught up in the moment. I don't get caught up with what they have done and who they fought so I just stick to my game plan," said Avila.

The fight will be Avila's third of the year. He went the full 10 rounds in his previous two fights and believes the experience will be beneficial even though he hasn't been as active as he would like.

"I haven't really as active as I want to be but being able to go the distance with some of the opponents that were some what tough and had experience is going to help me out in the long run. They are thinking of maybe getting me back in December. I want to be more active. After this fight we are going to have a little sit down with Robert Diaz the matchmaker from Golden Boy and talk about what is coming up next year," Avila explained.

The featherweight division is loaded with champions like Oscar Valdez, Gary Russell Jr, Carl Frampton and Lee Selby along with contenders like Abner Mares, Joseph Diaz and Leo Santa Cruz. While the competition is fierce, Avila is very confident that his coach has the game plan and that he has the ability to defeat each and everyone of them.

"I have a game plan to fight every single one of them. My coach has studied them and we work on everything. He names the fighter and says this is how we are going to fight them. Everybody has their flaws and their good points so we work on those things to dominate the points that we can take advantage of and minimize their good points," Avila told BoxingScene.com.
