At the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, heavyweight contender Timur Ibragimov (28-2, 15KOs) of Uzbekistan won a twelve round unanimous decision over former WBC heavyweight champion Oliver McCall (54-10). The scores were 117-111 on two judges’ scorecards and 119-109 on the third.

McCall had his moments, but he wasn't busy enough. Ibragimov was much busier and had few issues with landing his right hand on McCall's head. It was McCall's first loss since he returned to boxing in 2009. McCall had been arrested in February on a drug charge. For Ibragimov, it was his seventh win since losing a decision to Tony Thompson in 2007.
