The "German Oak" Timo Hoffmann (39-7-1, 23 KOs) impressively got back into action with a second-round knockout of Hollander Harry Duiven Jr. (14-7-1, 12 KOs), Friday evening in Aschersleben, Germany.

The Dutchman pressed action in the first round against taller, bigger Hoffmann, who was once lucky to become the first man to last the distance with WBC boss Vitaly Klitschko.

Hoffmann came back with vengeance in the second. He cornered Duiven and sent him down, scoring a knockdown, with what seemed to be a little bit of a rabbit punch, and then finished him off with right hands at 1:59 of the second round.

Duiven Jr. is best known for the second-round knockout victory over his father Harry Duiven Sr., aka Rocky Ven, three and a half years ago.

Popular local super featherweight boxer Ramona Kuehne (16-1, 5 KOs) added vacant WBO Female and WBF Female 130lb title to already owned WIBF super featherweight belt with a dominant stoppage of Dominican Maribel Santana (11-9-1, 4 KOs).

Kuehne, who had only lost to world-known featherweight Ina Menzer on cuts, told before that fight that she didn't intend on going the full distance and would try to get a knockout victory. She accomplished this task in four painful (for Santana) rounds, dropping the Dominican import once in rounds two, three and four. The stoppage came at 1:50 of the fourth round.
