As BoxingScene.com previously reported, undefeated junior middleweight contender Tim Tszyu suffered an arm injury earlier this week, after the Australian star was attacked by a dog.

The attack took place on Saturday night, while the boxer was attending a BBQ. A friend's Staffordshire bull terrier bit the boxer's arm and refused to let go. Once the dog was removed from his arm, Tszyu was rushed to the hospital to receive 26 stitches to close the wound.

Tszyu is taking antibiotics to prevent infection, but he's reportedly back in the gym training.

The unbeaten fighter is scheduled to defend his interim-WBO super welterweight title against Mexico's Carlos Ocampo on June 18 (June 17 in the United States) on the Gold Coast.

After suffering the injury, there were serious concerns regarding Tszyu's ability to move forward with the fight.

Tszyu's handlers would quickly make it known that he was going forward with the contest.

And now Tszyu himself has taken to social media to eliminate any doubt regarding his next fight.

"Quick little update, I'm good," Tszyu said. "Actually I'm real good. Nothing is wrong. I had a little bit of an incident on the weekend but I'm good to go. Thank you everyone for the messages, I truly appreciate it. But, man, we're good to go June 18. The show goes on. Nothing changes.

"The road to undisputed continues. Never, ever did I say I was going to pull out or postpone. Ain't gunna happen. Never was. Never will. I'm ready. June 18, let's get it on. See you all there."

Presuming he wins, the next fight for Tszyu is an undisputed showdown with WBO, IBF, WBC, WBA champion Jermell Charlo. The fight has been postponed several times due to a serious hand injury suffered by Charlo in training camp.
