On November 7th, WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley will return to the Thomas and Mack in Las Vegas against Brandon Rios. Bradley defeated Juan Manuel Marquez in the same building in 2013 in the fight that he described as the best win of his career.
"That was my greatest fight ever. The Thomas and Mack Center did a $75 million face lift so it is going to be different. This the first fight since they did the face lift so it is something new and different," Bradley explained.
The fight was originally slated to take place at The Forum in the Los Angeles area but the venue was already booked.
Bradley agreed that The Forum would have been a sensible location but is happy that the fight will take place just off of the Las Vegas strip.
"The Forum is close to home. We are two Californians but I love that it is in Vegas and at the Thomas and Mack. And you know me man, I am a business man dude - no taxes!" Bradley said in reference to Nevada being a state with no state income tax.
The Palm Springs, Calif. based Bradley has taken more damage in recent fights than before and he feels that Rios believes he can use that to his advantage.
"It is going to be a hell of a fight man. The fans don't want the miss it. Rios is coming to knock me out. He thinks he sees some vulnerability in my craft and he wants to take advantage of it," Bradley told BoxingScene.com.
