The first weekend of ThrowdownFantasy.com ended with Saturday’s HBO card. The main event featured Jean Pascal decision win Lucian Bute.  Pascal carried the action,  landing an avg. of 16 of 37 punches per round. The tentative Bute avg’d 28 punches thrown per round (10 landed) thru eleven rounds before sniffing the finish line and throwing 98 punches in round twelve. Pascal finished with 58.7 Fantasy Points with the victory while Bute earned only 20 in the defeat.

In the co-main event, Mike Perez fought to a draw against the big underdog Carlos Takam. A tale of two fights, Perez built up a slight lead in rounds one thru five, then was outlanded 133-102 over the last five rounds as the pace of the fight picked up. Perez earned 15.4 Fantasy Points while Takam earned 17.4.

ThrowdownFantasy.com has launched the next group of games that will start on February 7th and run thru the Showtime PPV card on March 8. This group of games will feature 36 fighters including: Saul “Canelo” Alvarez ($5,400), Alfredo Angulo ($5,000), Leo Santa Cruz ($5,800), Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. ($4,800), Brian Vera ($4,400) and Ricky Burns ($4,400).

There are 4 games to choose from ranging from $1 entry fee with $212.50 in cash prizes to $10 entry fee with $850 in cash prizes.

Magomed Abdusalamov

So far, Throwdown has raised over $500 to help with the medical bills of Magomed Abdusalamov due to his injuries from the November fight vs. Mike Perez. Throwdown will continue to donate $1 for every person that registers on the website thru January 31st. It’s free to register and each user will get 1,000 Throwdown Points when signing up. These points can be used to enter into cash games.
