Puerto Rican welterweight contender Thomas Dulorme (14-0, 11KOs) has grabbed the interest of HBO. Dulorem last appeared in a Showtime televised showcase, as he destroyed Aris Ambriz in a single round. Dulorme will likely return to action on May 25th in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Dulorme's co-promoter, Javier Bustillo of Universal Promotions, was contacted by Peter Nelson, Director of Programming for HBO Sports. Nelson was very impressed with Dulorme and expressed interest in having him perform on a future network date.
"Nelson, the Director of Programming for HBO, called me and said his company is very interested in Dulorme. [Previously] we fought on Showtime, but HBO is very aggressive. We are going to listen to both networks, and the best offer will dictate where we're going to go. Thomas is a fighter who will go far. He's fast and has great conditioning. His popularity is tremendous and he's particularly smart in the ring. We won't rule out the possibility of going for a world title at the end of the year," Bustillo told Carlos Narvaez.
