Following the news that Jake Paul’s event with Gervonta Davis has been shelved, the co-main event between Quebec’s Leila Beaudoin and unified junior-lightweight champion Alycia Baumgardner has also been postponed.
“Everything happens for a reason,” said Beaudoin. “My preparation was going according to plan, but now I’ll have even more time to train, to be even more prepared, stronger, and better. The date changes, but not the goal. I plan to seize my opportunity, no matter when it comes.”
MVP, who were scheduled to promote the event, have not yet confirmed a new date or venue, but they are looking at doing it in 2025 and Netflix will still show Paul against whoever he lines up against.
Beaudoin is 13-1 (2 KOs), while Baumgardner is 16-1 (7 KOs) and they were due to fight over 12 three-minute rounds for the WBA, WBO and IBF belts.
The November 14 event had been set for Miami’s Kaseya Center.
