The power punches landed total for Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter were neck and neck 65 to 67. Crawford out-jabbed Porter, landing 33 of 159 (21%) while Porter landed 12 of 94 (13%) of his jabs.

Crawford opened the 10th round by landing 5 of 12 power punches, putting Porter down twice en route to becoming the first fighter to stop Shawn Porter.

It marked the first time that Porter had been stopped in his pro career.

The end came during the tenth, as Crawford was stalking and caught Porter with a big shot as he walked in - which scored the first knockdown. Porter got up, came in to trade punches with Crawford and was dropped for a second time from a combination of shots. Porter got up again, but his corner, specifically father and head trainer Kenny Porter, threw in the towel to stop the fight.
