The Philippines Along Denoy has lost in his bid for the Pan Asian Boxing Association flyweight title against champion Tepparith Singwancha in Pathum Thani, Thailand on Sunday .
Denoy, who was rated No. 2 super flyweight by PABA suffered a TKO at 1:54 of the 7th round. It was the 5th successful defense of Tepparith who won the interim title with an eleventh round decision over Nino Suelo on December 25, 2009.
The PABA champion was coming off a 6th round knockout over another Filipino, Rey Migrino on September 19, 2010. Denoy, on the other hand was coming off back-to-back TKO wins, the last being a 2nd round TKO over Jason Geda last July 24.
Tepparith also won the WBO Asia Pacific 112 pound crown when Indonesia’s Anis Ceufin retired in the 5th round of their title fight last August 9.
With the win Tepparith improved his record to 12-2 with 9 knockouts while the 26 year old Denoy dropped to 22-8-3 with 12 knockouts.
