All fighters were on weight for Saturday's show in Metepec, Mexico. Headlining the bill, Ibeth Zamora puts her junior flyweight title on the line versus Esmeralda Moreno in a rubber match more than seven years in the making.

Also on the show, unbeaten super bantamweight contender Rey Vargas bides his time while awaiting a title shot, as he faces Luciano Gonzalez.

Zamora weighed in right at the 108 lb. limit for the fifth defense of her title. She claimed the belt shortly after Moreno—who weighed 106 lbs.—was forced to give up the crown in 2013. She was named Champion in Recess while taking a year off due to injury, but was unable to return to the championship level, or find the win column, suffering a draw and loss in her first two fights back in the ring.

Moreno has since won six in a row as she looks to regain her old title. Her opportunity comes with an added bonus of attempting to take the lead in the current series. Both fighters claim a win over the other, with Moreno (7-1 at the time) scoring a six-round splt decision over Zamora, who was in her second pro fight at the time of their Aug. '07 clash.

Zamora gained revenge in their rematch six months later, scoring a 10-round majority decision.

Vargas has spent much of fight week pining for a showdown with countryman Julio Ceja, who climbed off the canvas to knock out Hugo Ruiz in their vacant super bantamweight title fight just one week ago. As efforts are being made to bring that fight to reality, Vargas keeps busy with a scheduled 10-round clash with Dominican Republic's Gonzalez.

Both fighters made weight for the evening's chief support: Vargas (24-0, 21KOs) tipped the scales at 123 lbs., while upset-minded Gonzalez came in at 121.25 lbs.

The show will air live on Televisa in Mexico.
