Palm Bay, FL--The show goes on for the 2016 season premiere of Boxeo Telemundo (Friday, 11:35 p.m ET), with Miguel Cartageña and Ricardo Rodriguez squaring off Friday evening in Palm Bay, Florida.

Both fighters made weight for their scheduled 10-round main event. Cartageña (14-2, 5KOs) tipped the scales at 113 lbs. for his Telemundo debut, as well as the first fight in Florida for the Philadelphia-based Boricua. Rodriguez checked in at 114 lbs. as the 26 year old from Mexico looks to rebound from a repeat loss to David Carmona last October.

Friday’s show marks the sixth straight Telemundo-televised appearance for Rodriguez (12-3, 4KOs). Sandwiched in between two losses to Carmona is a three-fight win streak, all of which has taken place in Florida.
