Former European welterweight champion Ted Bami looked done and dusted after losing to Matthew Hatton in six rounds back in March, Bami, however, believes that he can put his recent terrible run of form - 3 defeats in his last 6 fights – behind him over the course of the coming year.

Bami told the South London Press that he is mentally focussed for the first time in years, this focus will enable him to recapture the form that saw him scale the heights of Europe.

Ted won the EBU strap in 2006, out-pointing the highly regarded Giuseppe Lauri to grab the vacant title, a belt he never lost in the ring.  A defeat at the hands of David Barnes for the British title kick-started Bami’s poor run, but the Brixton barber is sure that he can make up for lost time.

“Last year was terrible but I’ve had a break and returned with my head screwed on,” confirmed Bami.  “I’ll come back as both a different person and boxer.”
