Bryan "Tiquito" Vásquez (32-1, 17KOs) must agree to a fight with Javier Fortuna (23-0-1, 17KOs), according to a recent order from the World Boxing Association (WBA). Vasquez won the WBA's interim 130-pound title by defeating René González on October 26. The WBA ordered Vasquez and Fortuna to reach a deal for a final eliminator by January 15, but there is no deal reached as of yet.
According to Mario Vega, Tiquito's representative, a request was made for a 15 day extension. They are hoping to reach a deal for a March fight.
"Most likely we are fighting with Fortuna in March," Vega said.
