No decision has been made as to who Manny Pacquiao will face on April 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The two frontrunners are WBO junior welterweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov or WBO welterweight king Timothy Bradley.
According to Provodnikov's manager, they have no problem at all if Pacquiao selects a rematch with Bradley. Provodnikov's preferred fight is a showdown with Mexican star Juan Manuel Marquez. But, Marquez is pushing for a rematch with Bradley.
If Pacquiao picks Bradley, Provodnikov's manager Vadim Kornilov appears confident that his boxer can secure the fight with Marquez.
"As far as I know, Bradley's team and Pacquiao's team have not yet started negotiations about a second fight. Yes, it is true that the fight with Manny will most likely be against either Provodnikov or Timothy Bradley, but Ruslan is only arriving to Los Angeles on January 8. And then we'll talk about the fight against Pacquiao or Marquez. In general, we would be happy if Pacquiao and Bradley agreed to fight. In this case, I think Marquez would agree to fight with Provodnikov. And I am sure that this fight would claim the title of "Fight of the Year," Kornilov said.
