Former champion David Haye (25-2, 23KOs) is one of the names being considered as a future opponent for Alexander Povetkin (22-0, 15KOs), who hold's the WBA's "regular" heavyweight title. Haye has been inactive since the July decision loss to WBO/WBA/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Povetkin returns on the tentative date of December 17. A few names, like Evander Holyfield and Alexander Dimitrenko, have been mentioned as possible opponents. During a recent press conference in Moscow, Povetkin's manager Vladimir Hryunov was quoted by BoxingScene's Alexey Sukachev - stating that a fight with Haye will also be considered.

Hryunov: “Haye will surely be considered, as he is ranked #2 by the World Boxing Association."
