Earlier today BoxingScene.com ran an article in which Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn confidently stated that IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter would succumb to his fighter Kell Brook in less than 12 rounds when they meet on August 16th in Southern California.  The bout will headline a Showtime Championship Boxing card that will likely also televise the rematch between IBF super middleweight champion Sakio Bika and Andre Dirrell.

Hearn said that Brook is simply too strong for the undefeated American champion. Team Porter naturally has a different opinion on the fight and in a recent conversation with BoxingScene.com, Porter's father and trainer Ken said that it is Brook that won't see the finish line.

"Shawn Porter is a throwback fighter. He can go 15 Rounds. We look forward to welcoming Kell to the United States of America and the rude awakening of reality but I guess we'll never know because he won't see 12," Porter told BoxingScene.com.
