BoxingScene's David "Los Gatos" Rosenberg recently wrote a story in which it was revealed that WBA cruiserweight champ Guillermo Jones had withdrawn from his scheduled title defense versus Ryan Coyne.

A few months ago Coyne and fellow cruiserweight contenders Lateef Kayode and BJ Flores engaged in a war of words on BoxingScene.

Kayode's manager Steve Feder reached out to BoxingScene to issue a statement on Coyne's new opponent. Needless to say he wasn't impressed on Jones' last minute replacement.

"Coyne's advisor says he's fighting a guy who is undefeated. He is 13-0 but he hasn't fought in 3 years and he's 37 years old. Jesus. And he had the balls to call Kayode a fraud?  They need a last minute replacement and they pick a guy who has been more inactive then Dick Chaney during hunting season."

Feder went on to say that he had no problem matching his fighter with Coyne in a battle of undefeated prospects.

"All the have to do is have Don call John Beninati (Gay Shaw's matchmaker) and make the fight."
