Team Guzman denies that there is a deal to fight Jorge Barrios in November

After reading on another website that a fight between Jorge Barrios and Joan Guzman is scheduled for November 4, 2006, Boxingscene.com contacted Guzman’s manager, Jose Nunez. He denied that the fight is done deal stating, “We were offered the fight, but I asked what the purse would be and I never heard anything again. There is no fight agreed to between Joan and Barrios.” Nunez added, “November? We are looking for a fight as soon as possible.”
