According to Bild, a well-known German tabloid, former WBA middleweight super champion Felix Sturm (37-3-2, 16 KOs) is being offered a fight with the unified IBO and WBA "regular" champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KOs).

“We are ready to fight him”, said Tom Loeffler, the managing director of K2 Promotions, who handle Golovkin. “We can fight Felix Sturm at any time, at any place and on any possible channel."

On September 1, Golovkin made an eye-opening debut in the United States in his five-round demolition of European champion Grzegorz Proksa. On the very same date but across the Atlantic, Sturm lost his title in a unification showdown with Daniel Geale with a split decision. According to the Bild, other options Sturm has includes either a rematch with Geale for a sum over 500,000 euro, or a rivalry (maybe, two-fight) with Arthur Abraham at the super middleweight limit.
