Kelly Davis, the brother/manager/trainer of heavyweight contender "Koncrete" Kelvin Davis, is furious at a recently published internet report that claims his fighter pulled out of an upcoming bout with Juan Carlos Gomez.
Gomez's promoter, Arena-Box Promotion, released a statement to the media claiming that Davis pulled out of Friday's bout, scheduled to take place at Sporthalle, in Hamburg, Germany, for no stated reason.
Davis told the Nevada Appeal, that his fighter was ready, willing and able to fight Gomez, and it was Gomez who pulled out of the fight. Gomez will now face Daniel Frank of Brazil, who sports a record of 18-11.
"The (censored) didn't want to fight," Davis said of Gomez. "His promoter said we were too tough of an opponent. Then they go put that bull**** on the Internet. We still have our contract. It's just some (censored) selling bull****. You know we were ready for this guy. This guy Gomez is full of sh**. The sh** is crazy. It pissed me off."
