Rafael "El Torito" Concepcion (14-4-1, 8 KOs) is relieved with joy over getting his shot at WBO/WBC bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (41-2-2, 31 KOs) on July 17 in Mexico. Concepcion will replace the injured Eric Morel.

Morel injured his leg during training camp last week. Concepcion was the original opponent. He reached a deal to fight Montiel and the fight was sanctioned by the WBC. Before he could move forward with the fight, the WBO ordered a purse bid for Montiel to defend their title against Morel. Concepcion was going to fight on the undercard and was hoping to fight Montiel in September.

Concepcion's attorney Carlos Gonzalez is very confident about his client's chances to bring the titles back home. Gonzalez is coming to Mexico with Concepcion, along with trainers Marcos Martínez and Héctor Delgado.

"El Torito is well prepared and confident that he will bring these two titles back to Panama," Gonzalez said.
