Jose 'Chepo' Reynoso, the manager of former champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 30KOs), sees no problem with his boxer being showcased on Showtime pay-per-view for a total of three times in 2014. It was recently announced by Canelo that Golden Boy Promotions has scheduled three dates for him - March 8, July 26 and November 22. All three of bouts will be on Showtime Pay-Per-View. Canelo will return from his first loss, a twelve round majority decision to Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 14.

"The broadcasters feel Canelo is larger now than before the fight with Mayweather, and fighters on that level must sell and we are aware of that. Time will dictate whether Saul may or may not have three pay-per-view events in a year. We are confident in Golden Boy, they are the people with a lot of experience in these matters and if they believe they have the capacity to get this done, then we're going to do it. Since the commitments are pay-per-view events, the opponents have to be first class, they have to be important names, but that is being handled by the promoter," Reynoso said.
