Jean Bedard, head of InterBox, who promote IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (30-0, 24KOs), revealed in an interview with Canadian scribe Vincent Morin that he's having regular discussions with promoter Eddie Hearn to reach a two fight agreement with former two-time champion Carl Froch (28-2, 20 KOs). The first bout would take place in April, in Montreal, and a rematch would happen possibly in a soccer stadium located in Froch's home ground of Nottingham.

"We are talking every day with the promoter of Froch and currently we are working to establish an agreement for two fights. The first would be held in Montreal in April and the second in August, after the London Olympics, possibly in a soccer stadium."

Bedard also said the situation that caused the postponement of Librado Andrade (30-4, 23 KOs) and Donovan George (22-1-1, 19 KOs) will work in their favor. The bout was an IBF final eliminator, scheduled for December 17, but the bout got canceled when a dispute broke out over the ring size on the night of the fight.

"The fight between Andrade and George has been delayed and that is a good thing for us," he said. "It's going to delay the mandatory defense for Lucian. It is not in our interest to deal with one or the other. Anyway, we'll probably get more time with a unification bout."
