Devon Alexander's trainer Kevin Cunningham reached out to BoxingScene.com to respond to some comments made by Tim Bradley in a recent article posted by BoxingScene's Mark Vester this morning. "Ryan, Tim Bradley keeps running his mouth about who he wants to fight but he keeps running further and further from Devon Alexander. Bradley is acting like he runs his sh*t. Like he is going to tell [Amir] Khan who to fight and like he is going to tell Devon who to fight.". Cunningham's voice became more animated and mentioned everytime Bradley speaks to the media about who he wants to fight Alexander is always last on the list.
"Tim Bradley doesn't dictate to us when we are going to fight. He doesn't run this sh*t. We want to fight Bradley now. What is Fraud Bradley going to do if Khan beats Malignaggi and Ortiz beats Campbell and they fight each other? The only fight left for him after Maidana is us."
Bradley is scheduled to fight Marcos Maidana in July and Devon Alexander has an August HBO date for his next fight. Team Alexander would love to fight Bradley in November or December. "We would fight Bradley right now. Bradley has his chance to fight us now. Let's get this out there right now and sign Alexander-Bradley right now. What a great way to end the boxing year."
Cunningham doesn't see Bradley as the best in the division. "Devon Alexander is the best junior welterweight in the world. Tell Fraud Bradley if he wants to fight the to quit running from Devon Alexander. After Mayweather-Pacquiao the Alexander-Bradley fight is the one the fans want to see. Team Alexander wants to give the fans the fight they want to see."
