Undefeated welterweight contender Kell "Special K" Brook is in the middle of his training champ for his February 23rd showdown against IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander "The Great". Brook has appeared on Boxingscene frequently overthe past couple of weeks, confidently stating that he will take Alexander's title.

Brook said, "This is the fight for me, the one I have trained all my life for. There is no way I am going all the way to Detroit without bringing the title back."

"He's the champion and people are expecting him to keep the title but we know differently. I'm going to show him - and the world- why people call me the Special One."

Alexander's manager and trainer Kevin Cunningham said that he couldn't help but be amused by Brooks comments.

"I see all the smack that Team Brook is talking and that's great for the promotion. But on February 23rd Kell will have to take the training wheels off and see what it is like to be in the ring with an elite fighter."

Cunningham said that they are pleased with the exposure that this fight presents. He also said that Alexander is extremely focused and knows that a win will lead to bigger and better things.

"We see this situation as an opportunity to go global with the coverage from Showtime and Sky Sports.

"Devon's preparing as if he is the challenger and the underdog in this fight. I have never seen him so focused and locked in. This fight should be titled High Stakes, because the winner will be in position to make so many great fights," Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

The St. Louis, MO based Cunningham feels that his fighter is superior to Brook in every category and that it will show on fight night.  He expects a dominant win to lead to even bigger opportunities for his fighter.

"Devon's more seasoned, more skilled, quicker, faster, slicker, smarter, experienced, and younger. I smell a break out performance."
