The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that contract issues have killed the Antonio Tarver vs. Danny Green bout, which was scheduled as the main event of a Dec. 1 card at the Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. Showtime is televising the event and no replacement has been announced as of yet for Tarver (25-4, 18KOs).

Green's camp announced that he will now face Croatia's Stipe Drews (32-1, 13KOs) for the WBA light heavyweight title on December 16 at the Challenge Stadium in Perth.

"And it is amazing news, it's a historical event," said Green (24-3, 22KOs). "There has never been a world title fight in Perth. I am just looking forward to the Green machine fans getting out there and packing the place out there and going absolutely mental."
