In what is going to be the end of 17-month layoff, Antonio Tarver is moving forward with a planned return to the sport of boxing on October 15, but this time as a heavyweight. Tarver was last seen in May of 2009, at light heavyweight, losing a twelve round decision to Chad Dawson. Tarver turns 42-years-old in November.

Tarver's first heavyweight opponent is likely the rugged Nagy Aguilera, 24-years-old. Aguilera upset Oleg Maskaev with a first round TKO in December 2009. Tarver has big dreams of working the heavyweight ladder until he reaches one of the heavyweight champions, like David Haye and the Klitschko brothers.

"I'm going to put on some muscle and the champ is going heavyweight," said Tarver. "So, to the Klitschkos and to David Haye, be on the look out, because I'm coming."
