It appears the biggest fight in Australian history may get a rematch. Australian scribe James MacSmith reports that Anthony Mundine's manager, Khoder Nasser, recently had dinner with Danny Green and his manager, Justin Manolikos. Nasser said that the two sides met to prove to one another that they were serious about a rematch.
"We weren't just there to enjoy each other's company and exchange niceties," Nasser said. "We were there to talk business. We all want to make it happen and that could be sometime in the next nine to 12 months. But we want Danny Green to get back to where he was, we want him to be the best fighter he can be so we can do the fight justice."
Mundine, who dominated Green on May 17, is said that he is craving the chance to meet him again.
"I'm back in training, getting used to it all again, really getting stuck in and loving it. As for Green, I would love another shot at him and I think Australia would love to see it, too."
Green must first win his September rematch with Jason De Lisle to make the fight happen, which takes place at the light heavyweight limit.
