Italian welterweight Sven Paris' latest comeback came to an abrupt end last night at home in Frosinone. Paris was hurt and in trouble when he was retired by his father and trainer Dheni in the fifth of a scheduled 12-rounder against Brazilian Adonisio Francisco Reges. At stake was the vacant WBA Int'l 147-pounds title.
The once touted Paris dips to 31-6 and faces retirement.
In other action unbeaten middleweight Giorgio Natalizi took out Hungarian Attila Orsos in the first.
